MAGNA CLEANSE OF SYSTEMS AND RADIATORS
A Magna Cleanse is a cleansing process which aims to remove deposits of ‘sludge’, Magnetite, commonly referred to as sludge, is the black substance comprised of dissolved and rusted metal from the pipework of your central heating system. It forms when air and water react with ferrous components – for instance, the water within the system reacts with the steel inside your radiators.
A Magna Cleanse not only cleans the system, but it also provides ongoing protection for the boiler with the installation of a MagnaClean filter. This protection lasts around 10 years and helps to reduce central heating energy bills by up to 6%.
Magnetite, if left, can seriously affect the efficiency of a heating system and in severe cases a Magna Cleanse is the only option available.
It is also recommended that the Magna Cleanse process is carried out if you connect a new boiler replacement to an old heating system as contaminants already present in the heating system can quickly damage the internal pipe work of the new boiler.
There are a number of signs to look for before deciding to go ahead with the Magna Cleanse process. With the overall aim to restore the full circulation of water around the central heating system. Meaning that the entire system has to be flushed to be energy efficient.
